AC TRANSIT PLACE ORDER FOR 8 FUEL CELL BUSES

AC Transit and UTC have teamed up with Van Hool buses of Belgium to build their next generation of fuel cell buses for San Francisco.  UTC will supply the fuel cell systems.

The new hybrid buses will be lighter than the first generation buses that have been operated so successfully in recent years in San Francisco.  AC Transit  also an option for another 13 buses.
