ICE BUSES ARE ON THE MOVE

The first 200 kW turbo-charged ICE bus from MAN has arrived in Berlin.

The bus was driven on a test drive from the NEOMAN plant at Salzgitter to Berlin.  After being photographed in a number of high profile locations around Berlin, it was driven to the TOTAL hydrogen filling station for refuelling and then on to the BVG Hydrogen Maintenance Facility.  BVG is the operator of the hydrogen buses in Berlin.

One of the 150 kW normally aspirated buses currently operating in Berlin was earlier tested in Cologne.  The Cologne region has great potential for hydrogen powered vehicles because of the large volume of hydrogen which is currently available as a by-product from the local chemical industries.  There is also a 100 km hydrogen pipeline which can distribute hydrogen to areas where buses are currently operating.
