An International Forum on the Innovation and Development of Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFV), sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, State Environment Protection Administration, and Beijing Municipality Government, will be held at Landmark Towers, Beijing, China on 25-27, October 2007.A large-scale exhibition, featuring clean vehicle technologies and products, will also be held during the forum.The aim of this event is to promote advanced, energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies in automobiles.
The forum will be conducted in two sections: General Meeting and Technology Workshops.
The General Meeting will invite Senior Government Officials and Chief Executive Officers of automotive industry and energy industry companies in China and internationally to discuss key strategic issues. These will include
v how to accelerate technology innovation to ensure the sustainable development of auto industry
v how to deal with the energy shortage and climate change
v how to strengthen cooperation to facilitate the development of AFV.
The Technology Workshops will invite officials from related Chinese Government Agencies and International Agencies to present the latest progress on demonstration projects and policy, regulation and standards making for various alternative fuel vehicles. The Workshops will also involve global experts discussing technology development on gaseous fuel vehicles, battery electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, fuel cell vehicles, as well as bio-fuel technologies.
Call for Papers for Presentation at the ForumPapers will be able to be presented at the forum and be included in the Forum materials. Papers will be reviewed and selected by a panel of experts.
