"Towards a European Strategic Energy Technology Plan" sets out a proposal as to how the European Member States might react to the paradigm shift which is the "new energy era" of the world. It proposes a European Strategic Energy Plan - [SET-Plan] be developed in 2007. The Communication [COM(2006)847 final] can be downloaded here.
"Towards an Energy Plan for Europe" sets out the energy challenges for Europe - Sustainability, Security of Supply and Competitiveness - and proposes how the European Member States might react and move forward. Some Policies to achieve the goals of sustainable, secure and competitive energy. An Action Plan is also proposed. The Communication [COM (2007) 1 final] can be downloaded here.
These two papers will go before the Spring Session of the European Council for consideration. | |
